Unusual Female Black-chinned Hummingbird
This female black-chinned arrived in our yard on January 12, 2005. She was banded by Linda Beall on January 14. The photos below are of the original capture. She was recaptured on January 13, 2007 in Linda Beall's yard which is about 4 miles southeast of us. She first observed the black-chinned in her yard on January 12, 2007, which is exactly 2 years to the day from when we first saw it. For more information about wintering hummingbirds visit Linda's site.
