Since age 13 I have enjoyed taking camera in hand and capturing the sights around me. These days I mostly do digital photography and rely heavily on Adobe Photoshop to edit photos.

At the close of my high school years, I learned some darkroom techniques which allowed me to develop black-and-white film and make glossy enlargements. Thankfully I no longer have to deal with messy chemicals and fumbling around in the red glow of the safelight.
I still periodically get out my digital camera or one of my 35 mm cameras and shoot images of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains which loom close to my home. A favorite subject is the Mountain Laurel (perhaps because my 17-year-old daughter is named "Laurel.")
