I
Authority
Georgia Single Sideband Association bylaws, Article X, Section II, hereafter referred to as the Association.
Article
II
Name
The name of this organization shall be "The Georgia Single Sideband Net", hereafter referred to as the Net.
Article
III
Purpose
To train its members so as to be prepared to carry on emergency communications should the need arise, to handle any traffic, to provide communications for and be the voice of the Association, and to serve as an instrument to promote interest in single side band communications and the general field of Amateur Radio through good will and service to all.

IV
Membership
Section I. Membership will be limited to licensed amateurs holding General class or higher who remain active on at least one Net roster.
Section II. There shall be no fees or dues.
Section III. A member shall be placed in the inactive roster after a six-week period of inactivity on any Net unless the net control station (NCS) has knowledge of reason why he should not be.
Section IV. Membership in the Association shall not be a prerequisite for membership in the Net. All Net members shall be encouraged to be members in the Association.

Organization
Section I The Net shall be supported and controlled by the Association.
Section II. Officials of the Net will consist of a net manager and his assistant and seven NCS's and their assistants all of whom shall be members of the Association.
Section III. The manager shall be the President of the Association. His assistant shall be the Vice-President of the Association. The NCS's shall be appointed by the net manager upon his election and replaced by him when vacancies occur during his term in office. The manager may in consultation with the Association Board of Directors and the affected NCS's replace any NCS when deemed to be in the best interest of the Net. Assistant NCS's will be selected and appointed by the primary NCS in consultation with the net manager.
Section IV. The manager shall consult with the Association Board of Directors and seek out the desires of the Net members at large when making decisions affecting the operation of the Net.

Elections
There will be no elections since the manager and assistant of the Net are the elected officials of the Association.

VII
Meetings
Section I. Regular meetings shall be on 3.975 MHz at 1930L hours daily unless changed temporally by the net manager in consultation with the NCS's due to adverse propagation.
Section II. Emergency meetings may be called at any time by any member when deemed necessary and he will serve as NCS until a regular NCS or assistant relieves him. A schedule of relief NCS's shall be set up when needed.
Section III. Off the air meetings will be concurrent with meetings of the Association and its Board of Directors.

Net Control Station Duties
Section I. Each NCS will be responsible for his Net and will see that his assistant or the net manager is notified if he cannot be present.
Section II. Each primary NCS shall appoint one assistant in consultation with the manager.
Section III. Each NCS will maintain a separate current roster in conjunction with his assistant.
Section IV. Each regular Net session shall be proceeded by the reading of a preamble stating the Net name, meeting time, frequency, purpose, and order of business. Formal traffic will be handled in the order of precedence and any Net business conducted after which roll will be called in alphabetical order by call sign. Orderly directed Net procedure will be maintained. Otherwise the NCS will conduct his Net as he sees fit within the guidelines provided by the net manager.
Section V. The NCS's will report number of check-ins and formal traffic handled each month to the net manager as soon as possible after his last session of the month. The net manager will report total Net activity to the Georgia Section Manager and Section Traffic Manager.
