Proposal
We carried out a usability test
of the website foe the Theta Sigma Chapter of Sigma Tau Delta (STD)
at Western Carolina University in April 2006. The test was carried out
on the version of the website noted here: http://paws.wcu.edu/cp28013/STD/index.html.
Purpose
The primary purpose of the test
was to assess the usability of the website for the Sigma Tau Delta members
at Western Carolina University. Secondary purposes were to evaluate
how easily and accurately current STD members could find information
on the benefits of being a member.
Method
The test has been carried out with
four members, who are all current members on STD. Tests participants
were individually tested. All test participants were tested in the Western
Carolina University Hunter Library.
Our usability test consisted several
phases: pretest, questions and comments. The equipment used was the
computer lab at WCU, as mentioned before, and Internet Explorer. The
start page is the home page of the STD website listed above.
