General Gaming Links

in no particular order

The Miniatures Page It doesn't matter what game you play - if you use minis you need to bookmark this site. I use the manufacturer, rules and miniatures directories often.1
Free Wargames Rules This site maintains links to a lot of different rules sets, all of which are online and free. If that URL doesn't work, try this one
Dr Faust's Painting Clinic A good resource for miniature painting tips (one of many online).
Terragenesis Lots of good information and inspiration on terrain making.
Slammer A great set of free, generic science fiction rules. They've also been used to do Star Wars, W.W.II and British vs. Zulu battles.
BADDAWG's Landing BADDAWG's Yahoo! group is the place to find tons of scenarios and ideas.
Major General Tremorden Rederring's Colonial Wargames Page Devoted to Colonial miniatures gaming, this is probably my favorite wargaming site. It's full of information, inspiration and good old fashioned fun.
Dark Tortoise They have the rights to the War Engine, which are the rules used for the Shock Force background. The War Engine is designed to let you build your own units and forces.
Warp Spawn Games Lloyd Krassner has made a lot of games, all of which he puts on his site for free. The spaceship rules I use are Space Cruisers, which are under the science fiction section.
Two Hour Wargames Ed Teixeira writes good, simple, fun rules for various periods and genres. Mayhem: Warrior Heroes is the set I use for small fantasy skirmishes.
The Stuff of Legends A reference site that is attempting to list every science fiction or fantasy miniature ever made! Extremely useful and likely to take you back to those thrilling days of yester-year ... :)
Morval Earth and Morvalistan Take a journey to these two lands, the fantasy sub-continent of Morval Earth and the (fictional) 19th Century land of Morvalistan, located somewhere in Africa. Lots of good games, plus rules and a few invading Martians and Bugs.
Tonsha's Tribe Scratchbuilt spaceships! He also has some great card vehicles in his gallery and War Engine battle reports. Bug aliens are an added plus.
Hulkskulker's KnowledgeBase A site devoted to Space Hulk, with a neat program for making 2D tile maps. This is a great way to do interiors for spaceships or stations, underground bases, etc. Adding new tiles is easy as well!
Wargaming Page of Richard Lee Several interesting sets of Historical and Fantasy rules.
Wambeler Zinnfigurenmuseum A German gaming site with some very cool photos from games of "Pirates!"

1"Often" - "frequently", rather than "someone who has lost both their parents".
