The classic debut CD - when the lineup really started to shift around a bit. Todd was out, Kevin was living in NC, Glenn B joined the band, Karl volunteered his services, and the new Squeaky was born. With the help of Bill Bryson and Put It On a Cracker records, Squeaky's attempt at world domination was underway. Committed to tape at Mirror Image under a complicated set of circumstances (engineered by Harry, Pat McKinney (while Harry played guitar), even Steve pushed some buttons on this one), then mixed by Mike Rotolante at his place. After completion of the basic tracks, word came down from the PIOAC headquarters that more songs would be better. Thing was, Glenn had already decided to move down south to the WPB. Squeaky was again without a drummer, a curse that would haunt us for years to come. Enter David Sherman, friend and former bandmate of Karl. 4 More songs were recorded at Roto's, with a much tighter snare in operation. The sound was heavier. Those songs were mixed at Roto's, lovingly married with the other songs, and mastered by John Golden. We soldiered on. Incidentally, this album was our first real cd, our only "label" recording, our first recording with a drum machine (Sears!), and our first and last with any rapping on it.
