Perhaps the shortest review in Reekly Review history.
Keira Knightly and Keira's jaw play the Duchess of Devonshire, an English contemporary of Marie Antoinette. The director tries to get us to relate to her by making her seem a lot like the late Princess Diana.
- Keira looks nice in the costumes, and the English country and all that.
- Ralph Fiennes does a good job as the bad husband, though in trying to make him look homely, all they did was make him look like George Washington.
- Everyone else is okay in small parts, just your standard formula costume drama.
Smells like: perfume, probably way too cloying for the poor husbands who got dragged into the theater.
