FOUR NAMED HONORABLE MENTION ALL-DADE

Four Eagles were named Honorable Mention All-Dade by the Miami Herald. Senior Alex Garcia, juniors Daniel Bornemann and Anthony Diaz, and sophomore Josel Aloma made the list.

TOM MOORE ANNOUNCES HIS RETIREMENT

Head coach Tom Moore announced his retirement on March 6, effective at the end of the 2013-14 season. Moore will remain at Southwest as an administrator for one year after stepping down as coach. The upcoming season will be his 31st as head coach following 4 years as an assistant coach and three years as a student-athlete. On November 15, Southwest will play host to Tennessee's Volunteer High School coached by former Eagle Chris Brown (class of '90). Following that game, there will be a reunion of former players in the school cafeteria. A table will be set up to display photos taken over the years, mostly by Mr. Cunningham, and videos of past games will also be played.
