Why does this website ask me
to log in?
You may see the following log-in prompt when attempting to access portions of this website. This log-in is required to access MSN web space. If you do not already have an MSN “Net Passport”, you can sign up for one by following the prompts. It is free of charge.
I use the MSN webspace, as it is not tied to any one Internet Service Provider. In addition, the use of the Net Passport prevents ‘bots, crawlers, and other web data harvesters from skimming content from my website, such as fax and phone numbers, and e-mail addresses.
The web login requirement also acts as an intelligence test. It screens out the more troublesome and problematic clients.
