We have been
blessed with three seminary students who are dedicating their lives to the call
of Priesthood.
A Prayer for Priests
Keep them, I pray Thee, Dearest
Lord,
Keep them, for they are Thine -------
Thy priests whose lives burn out before
Thy consecrated shrine.
Amen
Prayer for Vocations
Lord, our
God, please encourage and strengthen all priests, brothers,
sisters and deacons through the power of your Spirit. Help
them to imitate Jesus. Help them to be understanding and
compassionate. Fill their hearts with joy and love.
Inspire many young people with a desire to serve others in the
priesthood and religious life. Give them courage and
generosity to respond to your call.
We ask this in the name of Jesus, our model and guide.
Amen.
Do you have questions
plaguing you such as: "How is God calling me?"
"Practically speaking, what
is God calling me to do?"

Seminarians.
When discerning a vocation it helps to ask
yourself, “What gives me hope?” Remember Mary running to Elizabeth
sharing her great Hope and rejoicing. So what brings you hope? Pay
attention to what pulls at your heartstrings.
Most of us became
Christians because our hearts felt His Love drawing us not because we
were analyzing all the benefits or pitfalls.
Think also about “Joy”. One saintly type said, “The surest sign of
God’s presence is Joy.” A calling, a vocation, is an invitation to a
particular path of nurturing and loving Jesus supernaturally conceived
inside you.
