Bob Jones Community Center

In 1909, J.R. Kennamer, Sr. had this beautiful structure built, and it was used as a mercantile business. Later, the Campbell Brothers entered the business and ran the company until they retired in the 1970's.
After Bob Jones retired from the U.S. Congress, he purchased the building in order to store many of his records and memorabilia in it. When Congressman Bob Jones moved all of his records to a building near his Scottsboro, Alabama home around 1980, he gave the building to the Town of Woodville. The center has a large banquet room with tables and chairs, kitchen and bathroom facilities. It serves as an excellent facility for group gatherings, reunions, receptions, etc. For information on reserving the building for your group contact the Woodville Town Hall: (256) 776-2860.

The Bob Jones Community Center is overseen by The Parks & Recreation Committee which meets on the third (3rd) Thursday of each month. Joyce Kennamer is the chairperson, Carolyn Terry is the co-chairperson, and the other members are  Gaylia Tanner, Larry Tanner, and Lanell Baker.  The committee also oversees the  Methodist Chapel.

The Woodville Historical Center is housed in the Bob Jones Community Center. For tours, please contact the Woodville Town Hall: (256) 776-2860.
