Welcome

     Fat Tuesday

Fat Tuesday. Mardi Gras. Carnival Day. The day before Ash Wednesday. On Mardi Gras, close to 2 million people gather in New Orleans from S. Claiborne and Napoleon Avenues uptown to deep into the French Quarter downtown. Another three-quarters of a million will gather in Metairie, and a quarter of a million in the other suburban areas. It's the biggest celebration of the year in New Orleans, and one where everyone has a great time.

There are almost as many different ways to celebrate Mardi Gras as there are different neighborhoods. Whether it's college kids walking from Tulane to the Quarter, families camped out on the neutral ground on St. Charles Avenue, Mardi Gras Indian tribes on S. Claiborne, or tourists on Canal Street, everyone is out to have fun.

I hope you enjoy this information as much as I have enjoyed bringing it to you.

Have a great time at the Mardi Gras!
