Diamond Dishcloth

Materials:  1 2 ounce ball cotton yarn

                  1 pair size 6 knitting needles

RT=K2 together, but leave both stitches on the left needle.  Knit the first of the two stitches alone.  Slip both stitches to the right needle.

LT=Skip 1 stitch, K in back of the second stitch.  K2 tog (K the skipped stitch and the stitch just knitted together through the back loops).

Pattern:

1:  (wrong side, all odd-numbered rows) K4, P to last four stitckes, K4

2:   K5, *LT, RT, RT, K3, LT, LT, RT, K1, repeat from * end K4

4:   K6, *LT, RT, RT, K1, LT, LT, RT, K3, repeat from * end K3

6:   K5, *LT, LT, RT, K3, LT, RT, RT, K1, repeat from * end K4

8:   K6, *LT, LT, RT, K1, LT, RT, RT, K3, repeat from * end K3

10: K5, *LT, LT, LT, K3, RT, RT, RT, K1, repeat from * end K4

12: K6, *LT, LT, LT, K1, RT, RT, RT, K3, repeat from * end K3

14: Repeat row 10

16: Repeat row 8

18: Repeat row 6

20: Repeat row 4

22: Repeat row 2

24: K6, *RT, RT, RT, K1, LT, LT, LT, K3, repeat from * end K3

26: K5, *RT, RT, RT, K3, LT, LT, LT, K1, repeat from * end K4

28: Repeat row 24

Instructions:

Cast on 41 stitches.  Knit four rows.

Work pattern rows 1-28 twice.

Knit four rows.  Bind off.
