Frequently Asked Questions

Here we have the normal questions that we receive.

 Q: [Email] I tried sending you an email but it was rejected
A: Usually what happens is that our email was misspelled.  It's easy to spell it ottographix / ottografx.  So if that was the case, just forward the email to ottographx@aol.com instead of uploading it again.

Q: [Email] I tried emailing you a 15+ meg file and I got a mail error.
A: This is probably due to the email cap that is set with aol.  We as of yet do not offer a paid ftp alternative, but thanks to free services on the web, we are still able to reach your file.  The free service we use is yousendit and offers a 2gig email cap.

Q: [Email] I sent you an email using Microsoft Outlook / Express / Mail and did not get a confirmation of receipt
A: By default, these programs are set to move your composed email to a new folder to be queued for outgoing when an update to your email servers are made.  This occurs usually 5min unless forced to manually by the user.

Q: [Email] If I send you a file that I need printed, are you able to ship the product to me in a reasonable time?
A: We do offer shipping solutions local and cross country.

Q: [ACAD] I have an Autodesk file that was sent to me.  Are you able to view and print from this file?
A: We do have AutoCAD and are able to print from it's files.  What we also need with the file to print accurately is a color table file, fonts and external images to complete the file.  A draftsman can bind all these files into a single drawing file or they can produce a DWF to print without error.

Q: [Scanning] I have an illustration render that I would like to be digitized and then reproduced.  Are you able to do this without losing color integrity?
A: We offer two styles of color scanning.  The first style of scanning is done manually by an operator that will point color match to a 1% factor difference*.   The second style is done by feeding the image threw a scanner that is set to auto balance and color correct.  This format gives a 25% color difference.  On each format we offer a sample of what the finish product will look like if from one of our printers.

*Renderings colored with shining colors with metallic's can not be color matched.

Q: [Color Printing] I have a power point or jpeg file.  Can you print a high quality file from this?
A: We are able to print from a power point file with great resolution when it comes to fonts.  Jpegs on the other hand are usually too compressed to enlarge them beyond their allotted threshold.

Q: [Students] I am going to school to be an interior designer / architect and I need help with my project.  Are you available to help me?
A: Team Otto provides the best service to our standing and new customer base.  We are a big family and have gone through the trials of projects as well.  In doing so, we handle each job efficiently and effectively for big personal jobs to even the small ones.
