The New Baby

On May 20th a man called my office and said he found a baby deer and no mother.  Hey, we're the extension office so we do everything, right?!?!?!?  I told him he could bring it to me.  I fell head over heels in love with this little baby, it was totally adorable and followed me wherever I went around the house.  Well in Georgia it is illegal to keep a deer so Ed found a licensed wildlife rehabilitator and we had to turn him over on the 21st.  I miss it dearly and love it much, wish I could have kept it, I know it would have been part of the family.  It was less than a week old and could barely walk.
