Paul - Xterra Uwharrie Event May 3 2009

We K4OGB (ARES/Club) have been ask to man 3 communications station during this event. Stations 2, 4 and station 5.
Montgomery Count will provide communication for the other as well as the base station. We would like to see two
operators at each station. We participated last year and had a good time at this event. Please read David's (KG4ZJR) information below.

Now in its THIRD Year! XTERRA Uwharrie takes place in the beautiful Uwharrie National Forest, which is located near Troy, NC.

Sunday, the main event starts a little earlier this year, so we can beat the heat. Registration starts at 6:30 am and the Sport event will start at 8:30 am with the Open following at 9:00 am.

Middle Ring Cycles is requesting the assistance of the Stanly County Amateur Radio Societies and affiliates for communications assistance at the 2009 Uwharrie XTERRA on Sunday May 3rd at Kings Mountain Point in Montgomery County. We would like you to man three check points (#2,4,&5). In general we would need you to check in by 8 am at Kings Mountain Point and be at your check point and set up by 8:30 am. Each HAM radio operator will receive a T-Shirt OR a Cap, plus you will be provided lunch. For more information see attachments or go to www.xterrauwharrie.com .
