Who Are We ??
We are members of the Stanly County
Amateur Radio Club, SCARC for short. We are located in North Carolina and our
home city is Albemarle.
We have 44 members in the club that is made up of mostly of Stanly County hams
but we have other counties that participate in our club.
We discuss amateur radio weekly as we have breakfast or lunch 4 times per week,
which means that we gab a lot but always welcome new and all ham radio operators
to our weekly event.
We are big on NTS traffic as well as a strong supporter of ARES. Our ARES group
is AREA-11 and we work with others counties in Area-11, Alexander,
Cabarrus, Iredell, Rowan and Stanly County. Our County EC and AEC's meet
with
Area-11 counties several times per year.
We are also strong supporters of the June Field Day event
and this years (June 28 & 29, 2008) Field Day site will be
be determine at the January Club meeting.
