Vision R40

My wife bought this R40 for me as a birthday gift.

Found someone selling a LWB conversion kit. Once installed you can switch between LWB mode and SWB mode in about 20 min. simply by moving the front fork from the front to the middle of the frame or vise-versa.

The USS handlebars are great if you ride on nice smooth roads or bike paths but riding around the city can be a very tricky in some situations. I decided to try something different and cobbled together an OSS setup.

The OSS was fabricated from the pieces you see at the right. The riser is a 1” dia down tube cut from an old Columbia bike frame. The grip ends from a set of MTB bars were cut off and welded to the top end of a set of road bars. The stem, brakes and shifters all came from the USS bars. I purchased the tandem length cables for this project from Scott at Tandem, Touring and Recumbent Bikes here in Greenville.
