Eliminator Clone
Based on
the older style of the Longbikes Eliminator.
I built the frame this far on
the first day.

This was the trial fitting of
parts being lined up on my data rack jig.
Rear triangle is from a Trek
830
Top tube is from a Haro 2+2 BMX
Down tubes are
a twin set from a French Mixte
All were from 4130 frames.
The fork is a RST 2k.

After brazing the main body of the frame and
checking alignment I detached,
trimmed
and re-brazed the seat stays as shown. It takes less time to remove
and
reattach the stays than heating and bending them. It also looks better.

Here is where I stopped for
the day. The boom tube is adjustable.

Next day, all components
added and test run was very good. Shifting is snappy because
components are where they’re designed to be. I need to find a
3-ring crank that has a removable crankarm – makes it
easier to cut and shape

I have a Bacchetta recurve
seat I’ll be trying to add to add to the mix as soon as I get time.
