Monthly
Report
August
2008
This month we worked on fulfilling the agreements that were made at the
end of last month:
1.
We began the classes with the teens on Sunday
mornings. Between 3 t0 5 teens are
attending. We are very happy because,
thanks to God, the girls have been attending since they were children (2 years
ago). Their parents don’t want to come
to Church, but the girls arrive early to the building each Sunday and Thursday
to receive their respective classes.
2.
We continue with the classes for the girls who are not
baptized.
3.
Each of the men followed through with each of their
respective responsibilities – preside, preach, attendance, arrive early.
4.
We continue studying with Ruth, Mrs. Lourdes, Karina, Isamar, Sarai, and Francisco. Each one of them is studying the plan of
salvation since they are not yet baptized. We pray to God constantly for each of those
people to decide to be baptized soon.
5.
We are studying with Victor and his wife Tiana, Magdalena and Eduardo, Fina,
Elisa, Otilia, and Patricia. All of them are baptized, but they are receiving
studies to encourage them to be more constant in the activities of the
congregation since they are easily discouraged and withdraw from the Church.
6.
We worked in building construction the first
Sunday. Brother Manuel helped us that
day.
7.
Thanks to God and the efforts of the Brethren, the
offering grew and this gave us the opportunity to begin to save money for the lunches
next year and also to buy materials for the building construction.
8.
Regrettably, Brother Manuel passed away the second
Sunday of the month. We are very sad
that he is no longer with us, but we are sure that he will be with the Lord for
all eternity. He was always a person who
encouraged me to be a better Christian.
9.
Victor and Tania were married in a civil ceremony. This is the first time that the building has
been used for this type of event.
10.
We continue with each of the services in the building.
11.
I continue preparing myself for each of the studies in
the building and in homes.
12.
We helped the Independencia
Congregation with their campaign.
13.
The children who live around the building continue
attending their classes. This month,
Sister Monica is in charge of the morning classes and Ileana is in charge in
the evenings.
14.
Jacob, his wife Monica, and their two children are new
members of the congregation. They are
hard working members and they have helped me a lot during the time that they
have been with us.
Thanks to God that the work in the Church is getting
much better now that there is more participation from the Brethren.
Thank you very much Brothers for all of your prayers
and for the great help that you give us.
