Ulys and Millicent Hastings Davis.  Aunt Mill and Uncle Ulys as Dotty and I call them.  When Dotty and I were married in 1944, Aunt Mill prepared the wedding dinner for us and it was a wonderful meal and so thoughtful of her.  They were a wonderful couple.

I've just got to tell this story.  Aunt Mill and Uncle Ulys visited us here in South Carolina many years ago.  While Dotty went to pick me up from work, Aunt Mill decided to wash some clothes.  Our water is very soft here and Aunt mill was used to the water in Dimmitt, which is much harder.  Well, she put the same amount of detergent in the washing machine  that she did in Dimmitt.  When we came home, there was soap suds all over our utility room and outside, right in front of the side door, it looked like it had been snowing.  Aunt Mill had a sheet and was raking suds out of the washing machine and putting them in the yard.  We all had the best laugh I think I have ever had.  We enjoyed their visit with us so much and we enjoyed our visits with them in Dimmitt for many years.
