Around June 15th, plus or minus a few days, God turns mother nature loose to bathe the area around Mt. Mitchell North Carolina (on
Blue Ridge Parkway) with hundred of acres of Rhododendron, along the banks of the roads and across the mountain sides.
The most beautiful place is Craggy Gardens where you see several hundred acres of somthing like this nearly as far as you can see
on the mountainside
