This is in response to the numerous e-mails that I have received concerning Doyle Turner and the 4 photographs that I posted on the last update of the Gantt/Hastings Website.

Doyle is a former scout in my scout troop, back in the early 50's.  He is an avid biker and hiker, (the pedal kind) and for years has been taking bike trips all over the United States, Canada and Alaxka.  This past summer (2006) he rode over 2700 miles and hiked several hundred miles on side trips, in a 2 months span.
He has sent me over 800 photographs on CD's of his trips and there are some of the most beautiful pictures I have ever seen of these trips.
I am pulling 14 photos from his bike ride through the Grand Teton Mountains and Yellowston National Park because many of us have visited these places and those who haven't, these photos will give you a little idea of the beauty of these two National Parks.
It is mind boggling that anyone can ride these distances, over these mountains on a bike, especially when you are in your late 60's as Doyle is.  Imagine seeing these beautiful places and seeing the wildlive upclose and alive, especially the Buffalo just off the roadside from you with only a few feet and your bike seperating you and them.
From talking with Doyle, he is hooked, and has been for years, like an addiction, to this great outdoor sport.  The e-mail he sent me about the photo disk he sent me was -
" I haven't decided what I might do this summer, it all depends on whether or not Barbara will be able to do something with me."

On the next two pages is his answer to some questions I asked about his trip - read his answer, it's amazing..
