Trading Rules

Important Notice:

www.thevervelive.com will not sell any of the recordings listed on this site.  I will only trade recordings so please do not ask if I can sell.  I trade recordings for the love of music and sharing. Trading helps me share this passion with others who feel the same way.  Thank you.

Always use brand name items such as Sony, Maxell, Memorex, Imation, Verbatium, or TDK.

When recording CDs, always record in DAO (Disc-at-Once). DAO mode takes out the 2 second gaps in between tracks.

Setlists are nice

Please label all items. A post-it note is recommended

Standard trading protocol: if you initiate the trade, then you must send first.  So, if you email me first, I expect you to send first.

Communication is nice; let me know if any problems delay you from sending as arranged.  I'll do the same.

No more video trades.  Sorry, they're expensive to send and time consuming.  Luckily most of my videos are now on DVD.  DVD trades go like this: 1 DVD for 1 DVD, or 1 DVD = 4 CDs.

If you don't have anything to trade, don't be discouraged.  There is always a way to make a trade work and I am always helpful to new traders.  Tell me what you'd like and we'll make it happen.  This sort of trade is time permitting on my part.

When recording cassette tape:
  • Always use Type II cassettes or better
  • Please don't cut songs or change track listings
  • Please don't use high speed dubbing or Dolby Noise reduction
  • Please don't use any cassette tape over 90 minutes long

When recording video cassettes:
  • Use high quality video cassettes such as Sony, TDK, or Maxell
  • Always record in SP mode
  • Hi-Fi Stereo quality is preferred
  • I can trade in all video systems including PAL, SECAM, and NTSC
