The Northside Backgammon Club conducts backgammon tournaments twice weekly on:
Wednesday at 7:00 PM

Sunday at 2:30 PM

TOURNAMENT FORMAT
Several club members serve as the tournament director on a rotating basis.
All matches are 7-points played with the doubling cube. We use the US Backgammon Tournament Rules & Procedures.
The format guarantees each player a minimum of two matches, (not necessarily two losses). Generally, with fields up to 16 players the tournament should be completed in 3 to 3-1/2 hours or less.

A special note regarding the
venue:
The $1 registration fee goes to the server that waits on our
group. All participants are also expected to tip the server
generously for their drink and food orders. Please take into
consideration that you may be occupying a spot in the restaurant
far longer than most regular patrons.
LESSONS!
For beginning backgammon players we offer a free
informal lesson starting 1 hour before the tournament start time.
Call ahead (see 'Contacts' below) to ensure one of our volunteer
'professors' will be there.

MEMBERSHIP
There are no membership dues
or fees to join the Northside Backgammon Club. You are a member
as soon as you come and play! We hope to see you soon.
