Text Box: wedding party

Vivian Arias a.k.a Vivi (Matron of Honor)

My big sister; she who has fought the most with me, she who has laughed the most with me, she who trust me with her first born’s life and let me be his godmother, she who has gone through this all before and she who at the end of the day is one of my biggest cheerleaders… there really was no question of who would be my matron of honor. - Aida

Mariana Toledo

My soon to be ‘little’  sister (OK, just a couple of months  younger). Mariana and I met the same day Daniel and I met in Miami.   She and her brother have one of the closest sibling relationships I have ever seen, so I know that I am lucky to be gaining her as a sister. - Aida

Denise Kardonski a.k.a Nini

My ex roomie from Boston and  partner in crime in Miami…  the first person I call in Miami  (after Daniel!) for any little or big thing that comes up! Sometimes I feel like we have known each other  since we were little, even though we met in college! She has been by my side throughout my entire relationship with Daniel  and throughout it has given out some of the best advice anyone could ask for. - Aida

Sandra Mejia a.k.a Sandrix

SAIndra and Ida were friends in a past life…. Unfortunately it was not an exotic life  it was in the deep south trailer park..   I would say ‘I da ho’  and she would say ‘you da ho’…. in any case we found each other again in this life (in much more posh Boston) and after many laughs  living together we have continued a friendship that started what seems a lifetime ago. - Aida

Maria Gabriela Pelaez a.k.a Gaby

Ever since that fateful Halloween in Caracas  during high school when  we dressed up like the characters from the movie Clueless, Gaby and I have been friends.  She is perhaps -I would dare say- one of the people who most knows and understands me. - Aida

Ana Mayrena Garcia a.k.a Ana Banana

It was our initials (AMG) that brought us together on the first day at Boston College and since then our friendship has taken us  to many places and through many situations and more than one instance of ‘yes we are sisters’ … she is not only the best person to go to a concert with, but also one of the smartest and most faithful friends I have. - Aida

Erica Sedano a.k.a Ericuch

Even though she thought I was a snob when she first met me during our Freshman year in BC (my joke about shopping a lot in Boston was taken a bit too seriously!!)  I finally won her over and shortly after we began a friendship that has brought us a whole lot of laughs…  she is probably the sweetest and kindest person I know. - Aida

Kash Chandra

Good buddy from University of Michigan. Usually calls when stuck in traffic to and from work (seems to think I’m an outlet for his boredom). One of two friends ever to accompany me to a museum (yes Kash, I lied, you’re not the first, sorry). Only friend I can talk Discovery Channel with. As dreamy in person as in his picture. Has provided me with invaluable advice throughout our friendship. Enough material between the two of us to write a best-seller comedic drama.

- Daniel

Rodrigo Jabali

Então, Jabalito was my first acquaintance in Miami, long before I moved here. We met by happenstance at MIA on the way to Cancun to spend the 1998 x-mas holiday’s with our respective families. Introduced me to every single Brazilian in south Florida. Can’t picture how my life here in Miami would have been if we had not met. Great friend and like a brother to me. - Daniel

Bruno Miranda

Ruler of the seas and sky. Can handle his own on land also. Bo may know sports, but Bruno knows extreme sports! Unfortunately none of it rubbed off on me. I almost drowned on our kayaking trip. Almost broke bones following him down a black diamond slope in Breckenridge. Almost went over cliff trying to keep up with him on a mountain bike. Drives like a maniac. Not in any way curious to find out how he flies; I cherish my life. - Daniel

Nelson Stabile

Huge. Former AVP pro. Tamer of cheerleaders and Bacardi girls. Better wing-man than I ever was. True entrepreneur. The Brazilian Bob Villa. I still have a lot to learn from this kid. Unfortunately he’s a Cane’s fan. All bark no bite. Claims to be good at b-ball, but refuses to take me on mano-a-mano.

- Daniel

Enrique Jose Garcia

My little bro-in-law. Youngest of the Garcia clan (not counting ‘el gordito’). Athlete and musician, and with a little help from me he’ll be a Latin lover too. More will-power than I had at his age. I would never have been able to spend a semester away from my PS2. Good to have him in the family. - Daniel

Patricia Toledo

My cousin. Third oldest of our generation. Also engaged and to be wed in Oct’06 (believe it or not we both got engaged on the same day). Has  her own very successful physical rehabilitation practice in Campinas, Brazil. Honored to have her read at my wedding. - Daniel

Daniel Enrique Arias a.k.a. El Angelito

Daniel Enrique is an aunt and uncle’s dream.  He is the cutest, happiest, well behaved baby in the world… no in the universe.   He is currently trying really hard to walk in time for the wedding… he is in training everyday, walking and sometime running back and forth, although still needing the assistance of someone.  There was no other little boy in the running for ring boy.

Enrique and Aida Garcia (Bride):

They are the best parents anyone could ever have.  Mami and papi have loved me and supported me at all times more than most parents, and they have set an amazing example  for me as parents and as a couple.  I love them and thank them not only for every single thing they have given me and shown me, but also for planning (and paying!) for what will be my dream wedding.

Ophir and Teresa Toledo (Groom):

Loving parents. Have always been there for me when I needed their support. Great role models and taught me everything I know, and then some. I hope they enjoy the wedding ceremony and reception as much as I know I will.

Genevieve Levis

Genevieve is my cousin Cristina’s daughter.  She is the cutest little girl with the biggest eyes in the world.  Although she might seem shy at first, once she gets to know you her energy and mischief  quickly take over.

Cecilia Leon

9 years old. Grand-daughter of my godmother and daughter of one of my many 2nd cousins. She is a sweet young lady and attends the 4th grade at St. Timothy Catholic School in Miami. She loves ballet and likes to help her mom around the house, especially with the cooking. - Aida
