Text Box: HOW WE MET... Aida and Daniel met in Miami through an unexpected cupid, Luis Perez. He invited Aida and a friend to accompany him on a night out with his college friends Daniel and sister Mariana. It was there, in a smoke filled South Beach lounge to the tune of "One More Time", where cupid's arrow struck. Unfortunately the effect was short-lived. After only three months, each went their own way (versions of this story vary depending on who you ask). But fate wasn't done with them yet... Two years later they started running into each other EVERYWHERE...."hasta en la sopa". Daniel engaged in his version of "Shock and Awe", and after a prolonged but effective courting period, Aida gave in, again, for good THE PROPOSAL WHEN WE GOT ENGAGED September 10, 2005 HOW IT HAPPENED Daniel took Aida on a surprise weekend trip to celebrate their 2nd anniversary. The surprise started with the drive up to the Ritz Carlton in Naples, FL. After a day at the beach, the couple decided to go on a late afternoon walk.
