FM History Profile: WQJJ

History:

Probably the second LPFM station to come on the air in Alabama (after WALW-LP in Moulton), WQJJ was granted a license in October 2005. The station aired a classic rock format for the length of its run, but went off the air in the spring of 2008.   The station returned to the airwaves as scheduled on July 1^st, 2008 with a classic hits format.  They currently have a construction permit to increase antenna height and move a little ways north up AL-195.
