China and Japan.  I had always hoped to see these places and now I hunger to return and see more.  For two weeks in September 2004 I traveled around China visiting my long time friends, Tarreg and Wes, and then in October I traveled around Japan with my Dad and sister, Deirdre, for one week.

The impetus for the trip was my Dad's physics conference in Tajimi, Japan.  A few Delta skymiles later and my sister and I were going across the Pacific.  My second blessing was being able to meet up with my friends who were in China at the time.  Tarreg was working in Beijing and hosted me for a week there as well as an overnight in Seoul, S. Korea when we were both there.  Wes has been studying Chinese for two and a half years and so while I stayed with him in Nanjing, I learned a lot more about Chinese culture than I ever would have.  Many thanks to you guys for all the fun!
