CLEANINGS AND EXAMS
Along with excellent oral hygiene habits at home, a professional cleaning is a preventative procedure that is important to have done at least every 6 months. Our trained staff provide the best care while assuring you are comfortable during your visit.

An exam is a complete visual inspection of the oral cavity with any necessary x-rays. We screen for oral cancer and gum disease as part of the exam.

CROWNS and BRIDGES
Crowns restore uneven, cracked, chipped, or decayed teeth making teeth stronger, healthier and more aesthetic.

To replace a missing tooth, a bridge is a custom device anchored to neighboring teeth that are prepared as crowns.

Crowns are durable covers that are fabricated with tooth colored porcelain, high noble metals, or a fusion of the two. We carefully consider aesthetics, function and tissue compatiblity in choosing the right material for each individual.

SEDATION DENTISTRY
We offer oral sedation to remove anxiety and provide a more relaxed dental treatment experience. Patients remain conscious and responsive, but deeply relaxed and you feel nothing. In addition, sedation dentistry makes it even easier to have multiple procedures performed in one visit since you don't feel a thing.

SEALANTS
A sealant is a plastic resin material that is applied to the chewing surfaces of back teeth. This preventative measure allows the dentist to seal out sugar and food from the grooves and pits in teeth that are prime targets for decay.

SPORTS MOUTHGUARDS
Athletes can prevent sports-related mouth injuries (lost, chipped or broken teeth, nerve damage, fractured jaws, and concussions) by wearing a mouth guard that will provide protection. Custom-fitted mouth guards are made for you personally and offer a better fit that the "boil and bite" guards found in stores. For frequently asked questions about mouthguards, see the ADA website.

NIGHTGUARDS
To prevent loss of tooth structure during nighttime grinding, a thin durable hard plastic appliance can be custom fitted to protect the enamel from further damage and relax the jaw muscles. The guard is adjusted to fit your bite evenly and smoothly to make it comfortable to wear each night.

GUM (Periodontal) THERAPY
The leading cause of tooth loss in adults today is gum (periodontal) disease which is an infection between your teeth and gums. Early diagnosis and treatment for this condition is critical for maintaining healthy teeth and gums.
Research now indicates correlations between gum disease and heart disease. For more information, visit the American Academy of Periodontology website.

In working with Dr. Chen and his staff, this long term degenerative disease can be controlled and the likelihood of tooth loss at an early age can be reduced. Treatment is non-surgical and removes the bacteria and infection from the diseased areas resulting in healthier gums, teeth and body.
