Yields: 4 Servings


Ingredients

1 1/4 cup Flour
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/3 cup Shortening
3 tablespoon Water


 
Instructions
Stir together flour and salt. Cut in shortening until lumps are the size of small peas. Sprinkle one tablespoon of water over part of the mixture, toss gently with a fork and move to one side; repeat with up to 3 more tablespoons of water. Form dough into a ball. Do not over-handle the dough or it will become tough. Roll out to desired dimension.

For double crust, use 2 cups flour, 1 teaspoon salt, 2/3 cup lard, 6-7 tablespoons of water, and form 2 balls.
