My name is Cary Allen and this site records the
ancestry of my family. My brother Clay and I
started collecting information with a letter
from our Grandmother in 1968 that documented her
recollections of the Allen line. Her mind sharp with
details of several generations along with a scrapbook
containing a photo essay of the family provided an
excellent starting point as we began this
effort. Through countless hours of research and
location visits in the Louisiana homeland by Clay, we
put many of the pieces together.
Together we
have knocked down many brick walls during the years and
found several more in our path that we are in the
process of overcoming. This site is the product of our
collaborative efforts. As such, its a work in
progress so
