I began quilting in the early 80's after saying I would never quilt. Since that time I have given up gardening, house cleaning including dusting and cooking. I really enjoy teaching and started teaching by being forced into it because I wanted to meet someone who quilted. Long story. When I moved to SC I visited Heirlooms & Comforts and Sara talked me into teaching a class. It has been a long-term relationship and a very pleasant relationship. Hope to continue for a long time. Priscilla has published numerous books, including a feature in our very own Peggy Barkle’s Blendable Curves© book. |

Something
About Sunnie
"If
it's not fun, it's not worth doing!"
I'm a self-taught quilter, so I understand how frustrating it can be for beginning quilters. When I was finally able to take classes with nationally known teachers, I experienced the challenge of learning advanced skills in a classroom setting. I've been a teacher for more than 20 years now, and my classes are designed so quilters of all skill levels can come and learn together . I welcome everyone to my classes to make a fun project, expand skills, and develop creativity while having a good time!
Potholder
Therapy
When everything is
going wrong, and you just don't know where to turn for help, it's time for
Potholder Therapy. Guaranteed to chase away the blues and restore your
self-esteem, every quilter can benefit from this cheap and drug-free
method!
Disclaimer: Sunnie cannot be held responsible for anyone who falls out of a chair
while laughing during her lectures.

- My lecture will transport you into another
quilting dimension. I
bring numerous quilts and samples so everyone can see how it
actually works. |
| Piecing a curved quilt becomes as easy as sewing a straight line. The dimensional piecing technique consists of layering and inserting folded fabric pieces into the seam line of a pieced unit or block. When the bias edge of a folded square is turned back and stitched down, a curve appears. The curved edge is then secured by topstitching close to the fold. | |

“Turtle
Trails” Turtle Trails is a fun and versatile quilt. The dimensional curves make the turtles come alive. Make a quilt, turtle pillows and wall hangings. My dimensional curved piecing techniques make all curves easy and fun. Detailed, easy to follow instructions on Cutting, Piecing and Quilting.
