performs regularly with the Musica Vera Consort and the University of Florida Renaissance Ensemble under the direction of John S.Kitts-Turner where she is featured on flute, recorder, shawn, krummhorn, and lap harp. She is also a vocalist in the local popular music scene. With a degree in music history, Downey teaches flute, recorder and music theory.
