Araxis Merge is an incredible program that compares and displays the contents of 2 or 3 files. If you regularly compare files, or wish you could, take a serious look at this program. There is a fully functioning 30 day trial version. While not cheap, around $269 US for the PRO version (which I recommend), you will find it worth every penny if you compare files regularly. Various pricing plans and subscriptions are available.
Differences between the files down to each character are clearly displayed using color coding. Affected areas are enclosed in a box and a leader joins the box in one panel to the complement box in the other panel allowing for large differences between paragraphs of text. The differences in one file can be copied to the other file with a click of an arrow button for the boxed section. Or, manually copy and paste between the panels. Or, manually edit the text in any panel.
It also compares and displays 2 file folders in side by side panels. Files that are not identical, or exist in only one folder, are color coded and flagged with the number of differences. Right clicking on a file allows file management such as copying from one folder to the other, or deleting files. Double clicking on a file with differences opens both files in the file comparison window.

GetRight

GetRight is a Download Manager. Instead of downloading while you wait and while you continue to surf, place the files you wish to download into GetRight, specify a destination folder(s), an let GetRight download them at another time. Even with DSL and Cable connections, downloading while surfing slows up everything. If you need a file immediately, send it to GetRight and tell it to start downloading. If something goes wrong, GetRight will resume the download where it left off (most download sites support resuming).
